Matrix Integration and HP provide laptops to all high school students at Evansville Vanderburgh Schools
EVANSVILLE - Indiana State Education officials changed textbook code this year, allowing a laptop computer to qualify as a textbook. That's all the push the EVSC needed to get laptops in the hands of every high school student.
Surfing the Internet, searching Google, and "twittering". All words built into the vocabulary of a student these days.
"Students these days are all about technology. So often they come to school and step out of the 21st century and walk into 1960," says EVSC Chief Technology Officer, Mike Russ.
But starting this Fall, no longer. All EVSC high schools will take a giant leap into the 21st century.
By a unanimous vote, the school board voted to buy 7200 laptops from Hewlett Packard and Matrix Integration at a cost of $460 each--by far the best and lowest bid, says Russ.

Matrix Integration was the first receipient of the E&I Regional Partner of the Year award.

Simply put, Matrix Integration is the kind of regional supply partner that sets a worthy benchmark for others.
Matrix Integration has helped E&I members in the Great Lakes Region purchase what they need more easily, has saved their institutions scarce operating dollars, and in many cases has helped improve the procurement process.
