Today, November 8, is National STEM Day!

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education has taken on new meaning in recent years as schools, parents and businesses collaborate to support the next generation with the skills they’ll need for future jobs.

Having a population well-versed in STEM can draw high-performing companies to Indiana, Kentucky and the rest of the Midwest. Developing an educated workforce is definitely a priority here at Matrix Integration. Today, we’re a team of nearly 70 and our need for talent will continue to grow. Today’s math and science students are tomorrow’s computer engineers.

STEM careers also provide some of the highest salaries and lifelong earning potential of any field. If kids are interested in STEM, we need to provide them with as many opportunities as possible.

Read more about how you can support STEM in our press release. And, in the video below, learn more about one of the STEM programs started byBrenda StallingsMatrix Integration’s CEO. Men still far outnumber women in STEM. It’s worth remembering on this day that when we support STEM education for girls, it helps to build their futures as well as a stronger economy for everyone.
